Atithi

अ ति थी

Invited to a relative or friend's engagement party? Feel lucky! All the arrangements, decorations and most importantly the lavish spread is for you to enjoy. Atithi or Mehmaan, as we call the guests here, make or break a celebration. However, with great power comes great responsibility. Apart from acknowledging the effort put in by the families in treating you well and choosing the right gift for the couple there is something else that you need to take special care of. Dress up! Yes, it is the most exciting part but make sure you do not overdo it.
Classy Desi is the mantra. The Indian suit is a win-win option for you. Very desi & Very elegant. Needless to say, Sarees make one look effortlessly beautiful. Do either one of these right and it will have people stop and take notice at the event and whenever they flip the pages of the Sagaai album.
AAPKA SWAAGATH HAI!!!!!!

At a friend or distant relative's do:
Play with colors but keep the work or embroidery minimal and simple.

Fuschia and orange suit with zari embroidery

Ochre yellow and cream anarkali with banarasi net

Olive green and pink kurta set with Gota work.

Parrot green sari with fuschia and purple zari border.
White dhakai sari with embellished pallu.
Orange georgette sari with gold border and purple blouse with zari embroidery.
Fuschia georgette sari with orange piping and zari butis and border.

At a close friend or close relative's do:

The work can be heavier in this case though not overloaded!

Jhumki sage green chiffon jacket with exquisite gold and silver work and thick border with gota.
It comes with a pink silk blend slip underneath, matching chiffon dupatta and churidaar.
FABRIC: Chiffon, silk blend, chiffon.
Ivory woven buti embroidered border sari.
Neon pink sleeveless Georgette suit with pleats and fluorescent green border. The neck is
sheer, giving the illusion of a sweetheart neckline with exquisite thread and mirror work.

Green and pink, net and Georgette sari with temple border.

Take a hint from them while dressing up for the close one's big day:

Kareena Kapoor dazzled in this bottle green suit with heavy borders. Perfectly balanced to look heavy and not gaudy at the same time.
An elegantly dressed Priyanka Chopra shows you how to sparkle with the right amount of bling.

Gorgeous as ever Madhuri Dixit plays with prints and embellishments to bring out this uniquely beautiful look.

"Diva" Mirza in a half Saree. Need we say more?
